Dear John,

Thanks so much for everything. When I passed the first time, you mentioned to me that you knew I would. I was never confident because of all the new complicated UK driving stuff plus my responsibilities at work, it seemed I would have re-visit practical test again. As you know, I had said to you, my company pays for me to get the UK license and I said after the test if I fail then I pay myself and believe it or not I did not want to go for the test. You pushed me, some of the driving sessions were extremely intensive and left me tired in my mind. All that just goes to prove that you want your students to pass in their first attempt itself. Really grueling sessions from you made me pass in the first attempt. Yes I got 5 minors but if it were not for you, I would have got three minors for the same mistake (disqualified already) and a dangerous fault.

Thanks and I would like to have you as my friend for ever and will absolutely recommend to all relocating people that I know  from different countries. Best of Luck to you and also enjoy your Christmas and have a Great New Year. I also enjoyed the thumbs up sign with your wife when we had passed her during her teaching the new drivers of your school.

I am a USA citizen working in UK. I need to have license to drive a car to work and back. Currently I am allowed drive on my USA license for one year from the date of my entry in to UK. Before start of next year I have to get my UK driving license and I feel that passing driving exams here is like crossing a mountain. USA is much, much easy for all this. Theory I will pass but driving is much complicated.  I see traffic signals rarely, things that tames our driving instincts.

Here we have what is called as roundabouts (instead of signals) and roundabouts mean using skills and commonsense, to enter in and exit out of them. I honestly did not have to use a lot of skills driving in USA but here I have needed it and John has been giving me so much of those skills that sometimes I feel guilty that I should have better skills. After all, he is much younger than me. I am 50 years old.

 It is and will always be hard to find a person who devotes his time and good part of his life in making people learn.

Teaching to drive here in UK is his passion and that is just one thing, but I am sure John would be a fantastic teacher in any profession where his passion finds peace.

Lovely guy to work with. He finds time and he adjusts his time for personal training.  Sundar.

Booking an intensive course with Green Lights was the best decision I have ever made. Fact.
Until I took my intensive course with Fran I’d always found driving an absolute ordeal and used to dread every lesson - but even after the first lesson I couldn’t wait to get in the car the next day!  Instructors I've had in the past have completely over complicated things and even lost their patience when I’ve made mistakes but Fran had a way of simplifying everything which then allowed me to actually concentrate on the task in hand (as opposed to trying to decipher the initial instruction!) She didn’t lose her patience once. My course was over 4 days and the lessons averaged about 5 hours a day which may seem like a lot but the time absolutely flew by and because of the “intensity” of these courses the information is far easier to retain. I have (and will continue to) recommended Green Lights to anyone who will listen – they have truly transformed my life!  Over the years I’ve had lessons with about 20 different instructors/driving schools so I am speaking from experience when I say Green Lights School of Motoring is by far THE BEST driving school about!!

I did a intensive 30 hour course with fran and by the end of the week i passed first time. I was very nervous and every time i would do something wrong i would get very frustrated, she was very patient and went all over the maneuvers every day with me to make sure i was understanding them. I would reccomend green lights to anyone, they have both female and male drivers and the car you train is very suitable for a learner driver.

I passed my test today. I had a total of 46 lessons with Johnathon, in this time he took me from a total novice to passing first time. He was always punctual with his lessons and turned up either on time or a few minutes early. He was really friendly and pleasant to learn with. I can't recommend Green Lights enough.

I was not a natural driver. I was very nervous and had no confidence in my driving at all. I'd previously started learning to drive when I was 17 with an instrutor who rushed me too quickly and was teaching me how to pass the test, not to drive.

From my first lesson with Fran she set me at ease and moved at my pace. I was learning with Fran for well over a year and she never pushed me too fast. She was always encouraging and worked hard to increase my confidence.
She taught me in a way that built my confidence and explained things in terms that I could easily understand. she was always punctual and always enthusiastic.

Fran was endlessly patient when I asked a million questions and she pushed me on and showed me what I could achieve, even when I didn't believe it.

I passed my test two days ago and I couldn't be happier. The day after my test I was able to pick my car up from the Garage and drive home from somewhere I had never been before. Fran made me a confident and safe driver and I couldn't have done it without her.

Thank you so much to the Green Lights team for helping me achieve something I never thought I could.

I can't recommend them high enough. If you're nervous or lacking in confidence, Green Lights can help you achieve your dream of driving. Choose Them! :D

I have just passed my test with Green Lights after years of not attempting to drive and building up a phobia to learn. Trust me when I say this, to get, quality, professional, friendly and approachable instructors, who calm any anxieties you have about driving, you MUST pick Green Lights. They have never once let me down, often changing their personal scheduling and spare time to support my driving. Both John and Fran are the ultimate instructors, with lots of patience and professionalism, that make learning to drive a great experience, and providing you with the support you need, worth far more than the money you pay.

As I personally learned with Jon, I have to say he is an incredible instructor. He will make you laugh and feel at ease with driving, while equipping you to drive safely on any roads for life, not just the test routes. If he can get me to pass, he really can get ANYONE to!

So if you are reading this, please take my strong advice and learn with the best, Green Lights School of Motoring!!

Well I have been learning with John for a total of 8 months and as a result, I passed with only 2 driving minors and 3 stationary minors. Johns single priority is to produce safe and competent drivers. His methods of instruction are renowned all over the county and is the same for Fran. He is also a loving, caring family man which adds to his fantastic personality. Unlike most instructors, Fran and John will teach you how to be a good driver rather than others who will teach you just what you need to know to get you through your test.

As I learned with John, most of these comments are directed at him but Fran is no way different :)

As well as instruction, John will also teach you how to deal with various scenarios that one could be faced with in the real world and teach you how to approach and deal with it in a very calm and constructive manner. I will be recommending Green-Lights to everyone who says they need a driving instructor.

Ive been learning with john for 4 weeks, had 20 hours with him %26 i just passed my test with only 1 minor! So happy! john is fab fairplay, so calm,Patient and just a brilliant instructor! would recommend him to anyone! and definetly will be! i also made loads of mistakes the lesson a few days before my test %26 a few on the lesson of the morning of my test! but john still had confidence in me %26 kept telling me i could do it! and on my test, by just concentratin on everything john had learnt me! i did it! and currntly nearly 6 months months pregnant, i needed it more than everything!! thanks for putting up with me!lol! I learnt to drive with John and I'm really glad I did. I passed my test this morning after just 13 lessons. He made me feel confident and is very patient and calm. I was really nervous and messed up my lesson before my test and the lesson the day before but when it came too my test I knew I had to concentrate and remember everything I'd learnt and I passed (: I'm really glad I chose green lights and I would recommend them to anyone. John is a good driving instructor and even got up at half 7 so I could have an early test lol. I'm so happy I've passed my test! Thanks john!

Green Lights Driving School has an excellent level of customer service and replies quickly and efficiently to email enquiries.

My son Ryan has just passed his driving test first time after only fifteen hours of tuition with Johnathon whom he found to be extremely informative and had great patience and understanding. We were unsure about undertaking an intensive course as it is more expensive but it has certainly paid off. Only trouble is now Ryan can drive himelf I never know where he is!

I had a 30 hour intense driving course with Johnathon, and it was fantastic! I found it really tough at times, but all in all enjoyed it all. Throughout the week,Johnathon built up my confidence totally, and even when something went wrong, he never blamed me for it, just hoped that I learnt from my mistakes. The last day for me, completely went wrong, and with my test that afternoon, I was convinced I couldnt do it, Johnathon never 'agreed' with me, just sat and listened to what I had to say, and some how managed to get me to the test center without me even realising what was happening. Where I passed first time!I definatly think, that for someone who wants to build their confidence aswell as their driving skills, Green lights is the best option for you!
I just want to thank you to Johnathon again for everything and for most of all, believing in me!

It was great learning with Fran. She was very patient and talked me through everything without making me feel like an inexperienced learner. What I really appreciated was her focus on making me a safe driver rather than simply making me pass my test. For example, learning all the pedestrian crossings, and all the info about the car under the hood will definitely come in handy now I'm passed. Fran went above and beyond with her teaching, making sure I was not only equipped with the knowledge that my 20 hours intensive driving gave me, but that I also had all the information and helpful pointers she could throw my way. And as a bonus, it was great fun! Thanks a lot!!
